June 2, 2008 Funding Raising Lottery for Battle Harbour
Volunteers are selling 1,000 tickets at $10 each with four lucky tickets to be drawn on June 2, 2008 for the prizes listed below. Winners will be posted on this website as soon as their acceptance of the prize as offered is confirmed.
All prizes have been donated by our generous corporate sponsors and tickets printed by Waterwerks Communications.
Net proceeds from this lottery will be used for working capital needed to operate Battle Harbour National Historic Site during our mid June to mid September season.
1st. Prize
"Escape for two to Battle Harbour" Value $ 5,400
Set sail from St. John's on June 22nd with Cruise North for a three to four day trip along the north coast of Newfoundland stopping at Lanse Aux Meadows, Red Bay and Battle Harbour. Disembark in Battle Harbour for a three day stay that includes meals, accomodations and guided tour of the former salt fish capital of Labrador. Take in the crisp sea air and natural splendors of our black-fly free island retreat. Learn more about this section of the Labrador Coastal Drive on a guided day trip as you drive back to Blanc Sablon to catch a return flight on Provincial Airlines to St. John's. "Blueberries" print by Beverley Rodgers Value $ 240
A colourful wood framed,matted,limited-edition print showing a traditional blueberry picking scene. Red mahogany colored frame is 31 x 24. Beverley, a native of Coley's Point, Bay Roberts, now lives in Nova Scotia. Her visual art reflects the soft spot in her heart for "home" and her family connections to Newfoundland and Labrador. Beverley's landscapes and other works appear regularly in galleries throughout Atlantic Canada.

Saturday Seminar with Chef to Go Value $ 190
Join Chef Bob Arniel and a small group of like-minded people in a Saturday cooking class offered from the Arniel's restored Victorian home on Barnes Road, St. John's. This class offers a combination of theory, demonstration, hands on preparation, and sampling in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Ordering Lottery Tickets
You can request lottery tickets by sending a note via fax 709-895-7775 or email information

One of our volunteers will complete the stubs, email you back a scanned copy and put the stubs in the draw bin after we receive your payment.
